Long Time No Blog

I have honestly been putting off blogging over the last couple weeks because I'm so embarrassed on how long it has been since my last post.  My last post was BEFORE Christmas.  So I figured I'd update all of the 3 people that actually read this thing on whats been going on in The Ostenson household.

Our first Christmas as a married couple was great.  We spent lots of time with both sides of our family and a new nephew was added to the ever growing Ostenson family.  James' sister, Julia, and her husband, Andy,  welcomed their third child into the world on December 23rd.  His name is Rhett and he is so precious and perfect.

A little before Christmas, I actually started a new job. Which is a huge life change that I have neglected to update the blog world on.  I am still doing Financial Planning, but now working for a larger firm headquartered in Buckhead.  I'm enjoying the new job, and loving being closer to home (less than 5 miles from our house!).

James has been in busy season for the last month or so.  Which has been zero fun for either of us.  Luckily, he can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and will be working more normal hours come May.

You may ask, if James has been so busy, why haven't you had time to update your blog?  Well, I too have been working longer hours than before.  Not to mention when I get home, I have really serious things to attend to.  Like Pinterest, or watching any of the following combination of shows: Modern Family, Happy Endings, Revenge, Swamp People, The Voice, House Hunters, House Hunters International...the list goes on.

On the horizon we have a few home-realted projects to tackle (once James is actually not working on Saturdays again), my big brother is getting married in about a month and a half, our 1-year wedding anniversary is coming up (wow, time has flown), and we have some fun trips planned.  So clearly, I will have some material to blog on soon.
